AKRON, O.H. (Nov. 19, 2024) — The Akron Marathon Charitable Corp. is honored to announce the outstanding success of its Corporate Challenge Program for 2024, proudly sponsored by the County of Summit.
The Corporate Challenge continues to serve as a dynamic platform that fosters a fun and competitive environment, promoting health, fitness, and wellness at every level within the local business community. Designed to support everyone from new participants to experienced athletes, the program provides a seamless addition to corporate wellness efforts.
“Summit County’s businesses consistently support one another and our community,” said Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro. “Through the Corporate Challenge, they are inspiring their employees to be active and engage in healthy lifestyles, all while building a stronger sense of unity and shared purpose.”
This year, the Corporate Challenge saw an impressive 1,325 participants across 33 companies, further establishing it as a cornerstone for promoting a healthy and spirited corporate culture. The awards ceremony, held on Nov. 14, 2024, at the Summit County Chambers, celebrated exceptional achievements and recognized winners in various categories.
